The MTV Video Music Awards are just around the corner, and this morning, they officially unveiled the nominations. Hip-hop, once again, dominates the nominations with Kendrick Lamar, Jack Harlow, and Lil Nas X racking up seven nominations each. Meanwhile, Doja Cat is right behind them with six nods, alongside Harry Styles. Drake, Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, The Weeknd, Taylor Swift, and Ed Sheeran earned five nominations each.

There is a slew of first-time nominees as well, from artists with established names to those who broke out in the past year. Baby Keem, Doechii, J.I.D., Muni Long, and Tems earned nominations, as well.
So far, the MTV Video Music Awards haven’t unveiled the official list of performers but that’s bound to come in the near future. The VMAs takes place on August 28th at the Prudential Center in New Jersey. Check out the full list of nominations below.
