  1. That looks soooo delicious with some mash taters and fried oakra with squash and onions till crispy and lord have mercy and everyone else back up I’m a white Man who love’s good food and I don’t see color mam I see people who love life 😀

  2. My recipe is basically the same ingredients except I use BBQ sauce instead of ketchup fresh cilantro instead of parsley and finely grated high quality Parmesan cheese I also prefer a mushroom sauce instead of a glaze I also use it for the mashed potatoes on the side

  4. Excellent recipe however, as always I used your recipe as a reminder and added my own touches. I tend to use maple syrup instead of sugar and this time I used half minced beef and half minced veal.
    Adding some sticky teriyaki to the sauce was delicious 😋

  7. I have tried so many Meatloaf recipes over the years, FINALLY!!!!!!!!! One that tastes great. Thank You for posting this. I have to subscribe and also buy your book. Only one thing that You did not say. You said to place in preheated oven But never said the Temp. Maybe I missed it but I just went with 350 degrees and it worked fine. Again Thank You.

  8. 1st attempt at cooking Soul Food Meatloaf. I didn't have all the ingredients so I made some small substitutions. No paprika…used whole milk instead of half-n-half, used green & yellow peppers with the onions & garlic. Added a little mesquite smoke flavor to the meat while mixing. Added a little Bluegrass Spicy Gourmet BBQ Sauce to catsup glaze mixture. How did it turn out? DELICIOUS!!!!

  10. Made this at the Fire Station with the guys !!! Put everything in the oven and got called out to a large fire. One of the guys came back early to finish cooking!! Once we got back and took the first bite We knew It was definitely Firehouse approved !!
